Refund Policy
Last updated: April 2026We want you to be satisfied with PrepInterview AI. This Refund Policy outlines when refunds are available, how to request them, and how they are processed.
1. Pay-per-Use (₹8 per generation)
Each pay-per-use purchase grants you one full generation of 10 interview questions with answer guides, YouTube videos, and PDF export.
- Refunds are available if the generation failed completely due to a technical error on our side and you did not receive any questions.
- Refunds are not available if the generation completed successfully, even if you were dissatisfied with the quality of the AI-generated questions. AI output quality can vary — we encourage you to use the free tier to evaluate the service before purchasing.
- Unused credits do not expire — if you paid but haven't generated yet, your credit remains in your account indefinitely.
2. Monthly Subscription (₹699/month)
- Free cancellation anytime — cancel before your next billing date and you will not be charged again.
- Access continues until the end of your paid billing period after cancellation. No access is cut off early.
- No partial refunds for unused days within a billing period, except where required by applicable Indian consumer law.
- 7-day refund window — if you subscribed for the first time and are genuinely unsatisfied, contact us within 7 days of your first charge and we will review your request.
3. Yearly Subscription (₹5,999/year)
- 14-day refund window — contact us within 14 days of your first yearly charge if you are unsatisfied and we will issue a full refund.
- After 14 days, refunds are not available for the remaining subscription period, except where required by law.
- Free cancellation anytime — access continues until the end of the annual period.
4. Technical Failures
If you experience a technical failure that prevents you from using a paid feature (e.g. generation error, payment captured but credit not granted), please contact us with:
- Your registered email address or phone number.
- The date and approximate time of the issue.
- A screenshot or description of the error.
We will investigate and issue a refund or replacement credit within 5 business days if the fault was on our side.
5. Duplicate Charges
If you were charged more than once for the same purchase due to a payment processing error, contact us with your Razorpay payment IDs and we will refund the duplicate charge within 5 business days.
6. How to Request a Refund
All refund requests must be submitted via our contact form. Please include:
- Your name and registered email / phone.
- The Razorpay Payment ID (found in the payment confirmation email).
- The reason for your refund request.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and credited back to your original payment method via Razorpay.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- You changed your mind after a generation completed successfully.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date.
- Your account was suspended for violating our Terms & Conditions.
- The request is made after the applicable refund window.
- The service was used substantially before the refund request.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
